Katedrál
editovatHi! (Sorry, my Czech is not good, so English will have to do.) Do you really call Ulmer Münster a cathedral in Czech? This seems awkward, as the episcopal see and main church is situated in Stuttgart (here: - [1]). On Swedish Wikipedia we point out the difference between a cathedral and other kinds of churches, and I thought this difference was apparent in the Czech language as well. Best of wishes.--Paracel63 30. 12. 2011, 13:55 (UTC)
- The term "katedrála" is in Czech not only used in the common sence as episcopal church, but also in specific architectonic sense - see Gotická katedrála. --Qasinka 30. 12. 2011, 17:39 (UTC)
- Thanks for the clarication. As is pointed out in en:Cathedral, "cathedral" is often used as a honorific to various kinds of large or impressive church buildings. Hopefully the real identity of Katedrála v Ulmu will be pointed out, when the article gets a bit more attention. I'm not able to assist myself in this, however, without the help of Google Translate. Best of wishes.:-)--Paracel63 21. 1. 2012, 20:54 (UTC)
